Last week, Mr. de Brún and Ms. O'Donnell, two student teachers from Mary Immaculate College in Limerick came to teach us in fourth class. They had taught us two to three lessons a day for four Mondays since February, and last week, they taught us every day. We participated in lots of exciting lessons and learned lots of new things. In Maths, we practised our problem-solving skills with the challenges presented about Icarus and Daedalus. In English, we read stories and poetry, discussed the Olympics and wrote reports. Bhíomar ag caint faoin siopa spóirt agus Lá Fhéile Pádraig sna ceachtanna Gaeilge le linn na seachtaine. We learned about Brazil in Geography and investigated materials in Science - we got to make our own teabags and test the absorbency of different brands of kitchen roll. We also sang songs and did some acting in various drama lessons, and finished the week with some fun circle time games. We all thank Ms. O'Donnell and Mr. de Brún and wish them the best of luck with their future teaching careers!
